The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 137 Veterinary Officer / Block Veterinary Officer (VO/BVO) posts under the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Assam. APSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2026
The Assam Public Service Commission has advertised Advertisement No. 11/2026 inviting applications for 137 vacancies of Veterinary Officer / Block Veterinary Officer in the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department. The official notification was issued on 3rd August 2026, and interested candidates can apply online till 6th September 2026. The application fee can be paid until 8th September 2026.
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band-4 with a salary ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000 along with a Grade Pay of ₹12,700 and other allowances as per Assam Government norms.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these positions, candidates must hold a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from a recognized University or Institution. Additionally, applicants must be Indian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Assam. They are required to submit proof of residency such as a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
